Gabriel Lee
is a virtuoso in highly varied sound-worlds: pop-jazz fusion with his popular instrumental band the Lorong Boys and other established fusion groups, early music with his baroque violin, and fresh interpretations of the classical canon with his modern violin. An active soloist in the classical scene, Gabriel won the Gold Award at the 6th Asian Youth Music Competition, and has performed as a soloist with the Baltimore Baroque Band, PSPA International Ensemble and the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra. Most recently, he played the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with Marin Alsop and the Peabody Conductor’s Orchestra. He has also freelanced professionally with the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Festival Orchestra and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra. In 2012-2013, Gabriel served as a violin mentor for the Singapore National Youth Orchestra. |
